The
European Election results were a major disappointment for Labour in the
South West. Labour's Glyn Ford lost his seat, and the South
West of England lost its sole Labour representative in the European
Parliament. A message from Glyn Ford:
I
would like to take this last opportunity to say a final thank you to
every one who has given their support to me over this last decade. It
has been a privilege and honour to represent you and working towards a
stronger, more powerful social Europe, it has also been an enormous
pleasure working with many to help facilitate positive action for those
less fortunate whether in the South West, across Europe or the rest of
the world.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my staff Marialaura, Raj, Tom, Irina, Quint and Mark for the work they have put in over the last few months in particular and to all my dedicated staff that have helped me over the past twenty five years since I was first elected in Manchester in 1984.
