Hannah Packham: Your Labour Candidate Devon County Council Elections 2013

Local Labour Councillors have a crucial role to play in advocating and defending services which are essential to the people of Devon.

I believe in affordable housing (ownership and rental), effective public transport, a decent school for every child, and our National Health Service. As a Labour Councillor I will work with colleagues on securing and defending these which are essential to the quality of life for people in Devon.

The Labour Party is fighting hard against the threat of regional pay, which threatens to take millions of pounds out of the Devon economy. As a Labour Councillor I will work with colleagues to defend and fight for decent pay across Devon.

As the Duryard & Pennsylvania candidate I will listen to the community, to residents’ concerns and aspirations. I will ensure that everyone in Duryard & Pennsylvania has regular opportunities to speak and meet with me. I want to encourage involvement in and ownership of local politics.
