Sarah Laws: Your candidate on 3 May 2012
Local resident Sarah Laws will be standing as the Labour Party Candidate in the St David’s City Council election in May 2012.
Sarah has lived in Northernhay Street since 2006. A local primary school teacher Sarah says “These are exciting times for St David’s with the Exeter Community Centre project well underway and the Museum set to open in December. The museum puts Exeter back on the map celebrating the historical traditions of the region. It promises to be a diverse and dynamic destination. It will naturally attract visitors and re-establish an important educational link with schools locally.”
“There are many issues concerning local people over the speed of development of student housing in the ward and whether the balance is right within the community.”
“Residents are also rightly concerned about an increase in traffic on St David’s Hill due to the re-routing of traffic to facilitate the John Lewis development.”
