It has been a privilege to represent Pinhoe as an Exeter City Councillor since 2016 and to have been selected to stand once again.

In addition to representing Pinhoe communities and residents I have enjoyed working with  the key community groups in the Pinhoe Ward, such as  America Hall, the PCA, Friends of Pinhoe Library and of course the Pinhoe Hub amongst others.  I have also enjoyed the challenges of becoming a Lead Councillor responsible for the Council’s new role providing the Leisure Service and promoting physical activity. This includes managing the Council’s leisure centres and the Live and Move programme.

From the City Council we have secured the resurfacing of the Playing Fields car park, completely rebuilt The Arena Skate Park, installed a new ChatShak, created the brand new play area and re-laid two pitches on the Station Road Playing Fields and ensured that Pinhoe were one of the first to benefit from a Community Builder. Quite a list but we have much more to do and I am keen to continue to work with my fellow Pinhoe Councillors to ensure Pinhoe can develop the services and facilities it needs.

Along with the other Hub Trustees I have been working to develop the new Pinhoe Community Hub, to get planning permission and secure significant funding to back the project from Exeter City Council.  So recently along with Trustees I presented the funding request for £1.2 million to senior officers which has been accepted and has now begun its journey through the processes at the council to be formally determined. Devon Live Coverage of the Pinhoe Community Hub funding request

I have enjoyed meeting many residents over the years and I shall be out with the team in the coming months to listen to your views. I look forward to speaking to you and thank you for your support.
