Marina Asvachin
Priory - One of your two Labour Candidates

I am extremely proud to have been selected to stand as the candidate for Priory in this By-Election.
I was born and raised in Exeter and have lived in Wonford for almost 25 years now.
I have been the County Councillor for Wonford & St. Loyes since 2017, a position which I love, as it gives me the ability to help the people in my community.
I’ve worked at the RD&E for over 20 years and am also a Senior Unite Rep there.
My time as a County Councillor has made me realise how much difference one person can make, which is why I am hoping to join the City Council. In my time as a Councillor, I have helped out in the community as much as I can; building relationships with other local Councillors, as well as community groups and, most importantly, people.
From planting trees with the Wonford Planters, campaigning to keep Priory as part of Exeter, litter picking with the Community Builders, singing carols by candlelight and drinking coffee at the Community Centre, and, of course, helping anyone with their personal difficulties, being as involved as possible is really important to me. I am also a School Governor at Chestnut Nusery, with a lead in SEND.
If I haven’t met you already, I hope to at some point.
