Save our Community Pharmacy

Our local Boots pharmacy in the Mount Pleasant Health Centre is closing on November 18th – join the campaign to save community pharmacies like ours.
It is Conservative policies that have led to funding for pharmacies dropping by 30% over the last 10 years. This has forced local pharmacies across the country, like ours in the Mount Pleasant Health Centre, to close down.
We need to build an NHS fit for the future, ensuring it has the staff, resources, and modern technology it needs. Reforming and modernising our NHS will ensure it can meet the health challenges of the 21st century: shifting the focus of care out of hospitals and into the community.
As part of Labour’s 10-year-plan, we have committed to a greater focus on care in the community, so patients aren’t stuck in hospital when they don’t need to be. This includes expanding the role of the community pharmacy to make primary care fit for the future.
