My name is Sam Campling and I’m a 16-year-old political activist and aspiring political journalist. I got into canvassing with Exeter Labour Party, after me and a friend decided to come along one day and see what we could do for our local CLP. We soon discovered the most welcoming and affable environment. Canvassing with Ben Bradshaw and the team is highly rewarding and I couldn’t recommend it enough to other people, interested in politics and supporters of the Labour Party.
The interview with Ben is the first of many to come. During the week commencing 14th November, I will be in Westminster completing work experience in Ben’s office. I have managed to book interviews with various Members of Parliament including Alex Salmond, Dennis Skinner and John McDonnell.
I wholeheartedly suggest canvassing as a form of gratifying political participation to help local residents and your local Labour Party.
